Cyclopses are basically big giants with only one eye. The earth shakes while they move around. Cyclopses are extemely aggressive, and once they have spotted someone they see as prey, they will have no qualms beating their victim to death with their clubs. Only experienced adventurers with good weapons should dare to challenge more than one Cyclops a time to a battle for life or death.

Cyclopses are found in caves and dungeons, or near the mountains.

According to the cyclops Iskander in Ultima VII, two hundred years is not considered old for one of his race.

First really encountered in Ultima IV, the Cyclops changed little in all the installments they appeared in, apart from superior ways to display them.

• In Ultima VI, the Avatar meets a friendly Cyclops couple living in the ruins of Stonegate, and a human girl that they have adopted.

• In Ultima VII, the Avatar meets the Cyclops Iskander, one of the few friendly Cyclops he ever met, in the Dungeon Deceit. Iskander explains to him the defense mechanism of the Guardian's generator in that dungeon.
