Arty the Mute was a goodnatured mute shipwright in Ultima VI, who seemed to be well respected by Dupre and the people of Britain. Despite his handicap, he was able to sell the Avatar the deed for a ship or a skiff. However, it also meant that next to nothing was revealed about him.
