Bidney is a drunk pirate found in Buccaneer's Den.
Meeting him in Ultima V, it was very difficult to talk with him, as he was constantly drunk only mostly only said gibberish. However, after a hint of Tierra, the Avatar asked bidney about his Grapple and Bidney said that mountain climbing had gotten too dangerous for him, so he'd given his equipment to Lord Michael of Empath Abbey and became a pirate. Then finally all the alcohol became too much for him and he fell asleep on the spot.
With the information at hand, the Avatar managed to get the grapple from Lord Michael for mountain climbing.
