Byrin is a Bard performing in the Inn of the Sleeping Bull on the Serpent Isle.
When first met in Ultima VII Part Two, Byrin offered the Avatar either three different stories or some songs. His three stories spoke of the Gwanis (which he falsely described as bloodthirsty savages), the lost civilisation of the Ophidians, and the story of the King of the White Dragon and Shamino. Shamino reacted very poorly on how his memory was regarded, and the news of Beatrice's death hurt him.
To raise the spirits, Byrin offered some songs and ballads. Byrin appreciated it to be given a small donation after each number. However, his singing days came to a premature end when the Wantoness Bane stormed the inn and massacred all inhabitants, Byrin included.
