Flint is the blacksmith at The Oaken Oar of East Britanny in Ultima V
When the Avatar talked with him, Flint showed a serious distrust of magic, complaining that magical stuff was more and more used in shipbuilding. He recounted how he had come to his job and showed pride in his past accomplishments, but bemoaned how good work like his was more and more replaced by "cheap magic", adding that magic was like a black box; you have no idea what you are buying.
