Two gate guards could be found in Trinsic during the time of Ultima IV.

When the Stranger met them, they said they watched the people coming into and out of Trinsic. They said it was an honorable job, and asked the Stranger if the hero strove for Honor. They mentioned that Dupre, the town leader, liked joining parties to complete honorable quests.

There were also other guards that could be found in other areas in the city.
