Templar was a Knight of Monitor, a city on the Serpent Isle in Ultima VII Part Two.
A member of the Bear Command, Templar served as Chief Military Adviser concerning the eternal enemies of Monitor, the Goblins, of which he was officially the most knowledgeable. Templar was the sole survivor of a carefully planned ambush on a Bear patrol that lead to the death of Astrid, the current Champion Knight, and the loss of the Helm of Monitor. He was injured, but quickly recovered. Like most of the Bears, Templar believed the ambush was the result of treachery. When the Avatar arrived on the Serpent Isle shortly thereafter, Templar shared what he knew about Goblin culture. The Avatar successfully slew the Goblin King Pomdirgun and recovered the Helm.
Like most of the people of Monitor, Templar was killed when the Bane of Wantonness (possessing the body of Dupre) conquered the city at the head of a huge army of Goblins and other ferocious monsters.
