Digging up the Exotic Weapons
The Exotic Weapons are the most powerful weapons found in Ultima III. They are also the only weapons that work in the Castle of Fire.
During the quest through Sosaria, the Stranger and the party had learned that the monsters in Exodus' castle were so horrible, only the Exotic Weapons could even harm them. Having received several hints from the inhabitants of Grey and Dawn, they found the weapons buried on the east side of a small island southeast of Fawn. Armed with them, the party managed to advance through all resistance, finding Exodus in the end.
