Brother Wayne is a monk of the Brotherhood of the Rose. He is an expert in birds and has actually written a book "The Birds of Britannia" about them. However, he has a horrible lack of direction.
During one of his excursions to watch birds, Brother Wayne got hopelessly lost, something that Taylor commented on. The Avatar finally found him in Ultima VII in the Dungeon Shame. He gladly told the Avatar about his hobby, admitting that plants and other animals only marginally interest him. Brother Wayne however only reluctantly admitted his problems with directions and geography to the Avatar.
Once the Avatar revealed in which direction the north is, Wayne was able to focus his bearings and teleport out of the dungeon.
