The High Court

The High Court of Britannia at Yew, as the name suggests, is the highest justice court in the lands of Britannia. Adjacent to the court house is the prison, where the accused await trial.

The High Court already existed in Yew at the time of Blackthorn, where it had been perverted into the inquisition. Judge Dryden was the high judge and inquisitor at that time, supporting Blackthorn and the Oppression. By the time of Ultima VII, the court had moved closer to Empath Abbey, but remained in the jurisdiction of Yew. During that time, Sir Jeff was the high judge at the court.

Trivia Edit

  • It is always possible to flee from the prison, there is no dead end.
  • The prison keeper in Ultima VII seems to be a rather nasty person. Going into combat mode makes the companions attack him on the spot.
  • Hook is known to the High Court, but not caught yet.
