Master Hawkins is a shipwright in East Britanny at The Oaken Oar in |Ultima V. While as a merchant he had little to say, people reveal some things about his background.
His grandfather had, prior to Ultima IV, created the HMS Cape, the greatest ship ever made. However, it sank at the Cape of Heroes (the Avatar had found the Wheel of the HMS Cape there). The plans got lost somehow, so Master Hawkins could only use his own skill to make ships. The plans were later found hidden in his own storeroom.

- It is not known if there is any relation between Master Hawkins and Captain Hawkins, the infamous pirate captain in Ultima VI.
