Pentagram Coin

It isn't exactly clear, what the Pentagram Coin is supposed to be. It is a real metal coin with a pentagram engraved in it. It was shipped with the original release of Ultima VIII as a trinket. The most likely explanation is, that is one of the symbols of Sorcery. The Symbols in Sorcery look much like the Pentagram Coin, only that in-game, they are black.

Of course, someone can imagine dozens of other explanations as well.

There are numerous pentagrams present in Ultima VIII. In Ultima VIII the pentagram represents an item of magical power and is used for the binding of sorcery spells. The pentagram is also present on the original front cover of the Ultima VIII box (later releases did not have it) and caused much controversy during the release of the game.
