Yastar is a mage in Ultima IX, living on an island near Valoria.
When the Avatar found him, he was surprised to have a visitor, but quickly recognized the Avatar, saying the hero had been in the history books eight times before. He quickly came to business, telling the Avatar how he had been experimenting with bone armour, and offered the Avatar an instruction manual detailing the production of a bone armour helm to test his theory. Since he was too cowardly to acquire the needed reagents himself, he offered the resulting piece of bone armour as the reward. The Avatar agreed, and by following Yastar's instructions, managed to create the bone helm by conducting the appropriate ritual.
